La commission de retrait des enfants de la rue a retiré 1620 enfants de la rue. Les 1585 ont été retournés dans leurs familles respectives. Trente-cinq (35) autres mômes sont toujours dans les centres d’accueil. La commission a effectué 70 sorties entre Juin 2016 et Juin 2017. «Non ! Ce n’est pas une goutte d’eau dans la mer. Dieng À l’occasion de la journée mondiale de lutte contre le travail des enfants, célé- brée hier, la Plate-forme pour la protection et la promotion des droits humains (Ppdh) a organisé à Pikine une rencontre pour partager avec les élus locaux de Pikine et de Guédiawaye sur les efforts réalisés par l’Office des nations unies contre les drogues et les crimes (Onudc) dans les communes de Médina et de Fass Colobane Gueule Tapée. Selon Issa Sakka, chargé de programme à l’Onudc, en deux (02) ans, la mendicité a baissé de 50% dans ces deux communes. «Nous avons travaillé avec tous les acteurs pour apporter une réponse communautaire à ce fléau. L’Onudc y a injecté 100 millions Cfa. Les communes ont pris des arrêtés municipaux pour interdire la mendicité. Les résultats sont satisfaisants», se réjouit M. Sakka. Pour sa 2ème année sur ce projet, l’Onudc va intervenir à Pikine Nord et à Diamaguène Sicap Mbao.
