Avec un onze de départ complétement remanié, le Sénégal se voit surprendre à la 21e minute. Lamine Gassama commet une faute sur l’attaquant Ouzbek et Otabek Shukurov transforme le pénalty et ouvre la marque. Le score reste inchangé jusqu’à la pause.
En seconde période, les Lions parviennent à remettre les pendules à l’heure grâce à Moussa Konaté sur une belle passe de Santy Ngom. Ce dernier, pour son premier match avec le Sénégal, aura réussi son baptême du feu.
