Des journalistes sportifs viennent de lancer à Monastir (Tunisie), le Club international des médias sportifs (IMSC, en anglais), une structure dont l’ambition est d’aider les reporters sportifs à “faire correctement leur travail à travers le monde”.
Ce lancement a eu lieu vendredi dernier, en présence du ministre tunisien de la Jeunesse et des Sports, Magdalene Alcharna, qui a assuré les membres fondateurs de la volonté des autorités tunisiennes d’aider à la réussite de ce projet.
“La Tunisie est prête à mettre à votre disposition tous les moyens possibles et nécessaires pour la réussite de ce club”, a dit l’officielle tunisienne durant son discours de bienvenue.
“Notre pays est en phase avec les ambitions et les objectifs de cette structure qui vont dans le sens de la promotion du sport dans les médias et de développer la coopération et l’amitié parmi les journalistes et la sportivité en général”, a ajouté la ministre tunisienne, à l’occasion de l’ouverture officielle de la cérémonie.
Le président fondateur de l’ISMC, le Bahreini Mohammed Qassem, a lui remercié la Tunisie pour avoir accepté d’abriter cette rencontre.
“Mais nous sommes loin d’être surpris de cette décision des autorités de la Tunisie, un pays de liberté et de démocratie”, a ajouté l’ancien président de l’Union arabe de la presse sportive, selon qui cette association “ne sera pas une structure de plus”.
“Nous sommes résolument tournés vers la défense des intérêts des journalistes en aidant à la promotion et à la pratique de leur métier”, a indiqué Mohammed Qassem, avant d’appeler à créer “un climat de solidarité et de fraternité” entre différents médias sportifs du monde.
“Même si les problèmes peuvent différer d’un pays à un autre, d’un continent à un autre, le principe de solidarité sera mis en avant dans notre structure”, a insisté M. Qassem, évoquant la nécessité de former davantage les jeunes journalistes pour les amener à mieux faire face aux nouveaux enjeux du sport mondial.
A travers le lancement d’une telle structure, “nous avons en place des personnalités pouvant représenter leur continent dans le comité exécutif”, a souligné son initiateur.
Pour l’Afrique, c’est le chroniqueur sportif égyptien Ahmed Shubair, ancien gardien des Pharaons dans les années 1980-1990.
De même, l’ISMC peut compter sur l’expérience de personnes venues d’horizons divers, ayant accumulé “une expérience certaine” dans la pratique de leur métier, sans compter que des partenariats devraient être signés avec des instances sportives internationales, des chaînes hôtelières, des compagnies aériennes, pour mettre à l’aise la presse.
La Lituanienne Laima Janusonyte-Steinhoff a été élue présidente du comité exécutif, avec comme adjoint le Tunisien Adnan Ben Murad.
La prochaine rencontre du Club est prévue en mars-avril prochain au Caire (Egypte), mais en attendant, le président fondateur de l’ISMC est invité à prendre part à des rencontres en Palestine, en Syrie et en Irak.
