Le choc de la 28e journée de PL, qui s’est disputé ce dimanche à Old Trafford a vu MU prendre le dessus sur Chelsea malgré un début compliqué.
Avant que tous les regards ne se tournent vers Wembley et la finale de la League Cup, un bras de fer intéressant se jouait en Premier League ce dimanche après-midi. Manchester United (3e) accueillait Chelsea (5e). Le spectacle n’a finalement pas été vraiment à la hauteur des attentes.
Probablement fatiguées par les efforts fournis en milieu de semaine en Ligue des Champions, les deux formations ont livré un duel de faible intensité. Un duel qui allait s’achever sur un nul mais Jesse Lingard est sorti du banc pour donner la victoire aux siens.
Parmi les interrogations qui entouraient ce choc, il y avait celle qui concerne le protocole d’avant-match et les retrouvailles entre José Mourinho et Antonio Conte. Après s’être longtemps attaqués par presse interposée, les deux techniciens ont enterré la hache de guerre et se sont serrés la main comme si de rien n’était. Une volonté d’apaiser d’apaiser les débats, dont leurs équipes respectives se sont peut-être inspirées puisque la première demi-heure de la rencontre s’est écoulée sans le moindre temps fort.
