Le Paris Saint-Germain va réaliser un nouveau gros coup en cette fin de mercato avec l’arrivée attendue de Kylian Mbappé (18 ans). Mais comment le Paris SG est-il parvenu à convaincre le jeune prodige français puis l’AS Monaco pour boucler un tel dossier ? Réponses. Premières manoeuvres, premier échec L’intérêt du PSG pour Mbappé ne date pas d’hier. Al-Khelaïfi dur à convaincre En février 2017, Létang ressort le dossier mais ne convainc pas son président Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, pas très emballé à l’idée de mettre plus de 40 M€ sur un joueur qui n’a joué que 3 mois en L1. On sait surtout que le patron du PSG veut mettre le paquet sur une nouvelle star qui n’est pas arrivée après le départ de Zlatan Ibrahimovic. De son côté, Unai Emery n’est pas convaincu non plus et préfère Alexis Sanchez, longtemps espéré dans la capitale.
A ce moment-là, Mbappé est donc loin du PSG… Successeur de Létang, Antero Henrique a aussi la certitude que Mbappé est le joueur qu’il faut à Paris. Depuis, le Real Madrid, Arsenal et Manchester City sont entrés dans la danse. Le Real tient même la corde après plusieurs discussions entre Zidane et le Monégasque. Le nouveau directeur sportif parisien convainc finalement Al-Khelaïfi en juin 2017 mais toujours pas Mbappé.
