La Journée mondiale de la Protection civile a été célébrée hier. Une occasion pour le Chef de l’Etat de rappeler au Gouvernement, lors du Conseil des ministres, ‘’l’impératif de promouvoir une culture de prévention en matière de protection civile et d’assurer l’actualisation et l’opérationnalisation du dispositif national d’organisation des secours ainsi que le fonctionnement régulier des Commissions supérieures, régionales et auxiliaires de protection civile’’.
Ce faisant, le Président Sall exhorte au renforcement de la sensibilisation des acteurs économiques et des populations, sur le respect des normes de construction et de sécurité civile, en matière d’édification de bâtiments, d’unités industrielles, d’établissements recevant du public et d’accorder une attention particulière à la surveillance des sites sensibles ainsi qu’à la qualité de l’air et de l’eau.
