Le ministre équato-guinéen des Affaires étrangères, Agapito Mba Mokuy, a affirmé que le putsch déjoué le mois dernier, en décembre 2017 par Malabo, a été organisé en France. Il insiste cependant sur le fait que, selon lui, le gouvernement français n’a « rien à voir avec ça ».

« La stratégie a été organisée sur le territoire français », a déclaré Agapito Mba Mokuy, ministre équato-guinéen des Affaires étrangères, lors d’une conférence de presse sur la tentative de coup d’État contre le président Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. Celui-ci se trouvait dans son palais de Koete Mongomo (à une cinquantaine de km du carrefour des trois frontières entre le Gabon, la Guinée et le Cameroun), lorsque le coup d’État a été déjoué, dans la nuit du 27 au 28 décembre.

S’adressant en français à l’AFP, le ministre a fait cette déclaration en employant l’affirmatif. Mais en espagnol, le ministre a utilisé le conditionnel à ce propos.

Malabo exonère le gouvernement français

L’AFP a  également  fait part de  l’arrestation de l’ambassadeur de Guinée équatoriale au Tchad, samedi 30 décembre, alors qu’il se trouvait à Ebebiyin. Enrique Nsue Anguesom est détenu dans un camp militaire de Bata, la capitale économique, « pour des raisons d’enquête concernant les hommes interpellés », ont précisé à l’AFP un de ses cousins et une source policière de haut rang, s’exprimant sous couvert d’anonymat.
