Chaque jour, elles se lèvent de bonne heure pour s’occuper des tâches domestiques. ‘’Nous n’avons pas de machines à moudre ou piler les céréales. Jusqu’à présent, tout le travail est fait à la main. Nous pilons et nous moulons les céréales à la main.
La seule machine qu’une ONG nous avait offerte est tombée en panne depuis belle lurette. Nous n’avons même pas d’électricité’’, rapporte Ndèye Aïssatou Lo, la trentaine, venue assister à la cérémonie de lancement des travaux du pont à péage de Foundiougne, ce mardi. Assise à même le sol, sous l’ombre du panneau d’affichage de ce projet, dans l’attente de l’arrivée du président de la République, elle montre la paume de ses mains pour étayer son propos. ‘’Vous constatez vous-même. Regardez comme nos mains sont sèches’’, lance-t-elle toute souriante.
Selon notre interlocutrice, leur village est dépourvu de structure sanitaire. ‘’Nous allons nous soigner à Sokone et si le malade est dans un état critique, il est impossible d’avoir une ambulance pour l’évacuer. Nous l’acheminons sur une charrette avec tous les risques, car il peut perdre la vie à tout moment. Nous souffrons vraiment le martyre et nous sollicitons l’aide du président de la République, malgré les efforts qu’il est en train de faire’’, dit-elle.
