Le chanteur, Alioune Kassé, a fait une apparition dans la presse d’aujourd’hui. Ceux qui pensaient qu’il a pris sa retraite peuvent se détromper. L’artiste indique même qu’il joue régulièrement dans des boîtes de la place.
Néanmoins, son dernier album date de 2008. Et s’il tarde à sortir le suivant, c’est essentiellement par manque de bailleurs, informe-t-il. Quant à la concurrence avec la nouvelle génération notamment composée de Pape Diouf et Wally Seck, Alioune Kassé ne se fait pas de soucis.
“J’ai confiance en moi. Je sais ce dont je suis capable. Wally Seck et Pape Diouf font leur temps. J’ai eu à beaucoup travailler avec Pape Diouf. Nous avons fait des duos et sommes allés en tournée aux Usa. C’est un artiste que je respecte et qui me le rend bien. Tout comme Wally Seck est un jeune frère qui me respecte aussi. Il ne faut pas oublier que je n’ai jamais quitté la scène musicale (…). J’ai eu à produire des singles comme “c’est le mariage”, qui a beaucoup cartonné”.
