Nous avons rencontré tous les cadres de syndicats d’enseignants mais la perception que nous avons eue de leurs demandes c’est qu’il faudrait évidemment plus d’équité. Il faudrait que l’on puisse plus se préoccuper de leur plan de carrière mais il faudrait aussi qu’il y ait plus de respect et de considération relativement au discours qui est tenu par certains membres du gouvernement. Il faut bannir ce genre de discours qui ressemble à de l’intimidation et travailler résolument à ce qu’il y ait plus de considération visà-vis des enseignants. Nous avons perçu que le problème fondamental relève de la frustration, mais nous sommes face cette fois ci à des organisations d’enseignants très déterminées et c’est cela qui nous inquiète. Nous sommes dans le système depuis longtemps, nous suivons des crises depuis au moins une dizaine d’années.
Mais la détermination que nous avons ressentie des enseignants est inquiétante, et c’est ce qui devrait être un message fort pour le gouvernement qui ne devrait pas le minimiser. Mais malheureusement, face à cette détermination, face à cette organisation, ce que nous avons ressenti c’est la culture du pourrissement : attendre toujours la dernière minute pour pouvoir agir. Je disais la dernière fois qu’on ne vivra pas une année blanche. Le contexte du Sénégal ne nous permet pas d’entrevoir une année blanche donc ils vont jouer la carte du pourrissement jusqu’à la dernière minute et le plus grand perdant ce sera cet élève là qui est dans l’école publique, cet élève là qui n’a pas les moyens d’accéder à une autre offre éducative et c’est injuste»
