Ce verdict, conforme aux réquisitions de l’avocat général Raphaël Balland et énoncé après plus de six heures de délibéré, vient clore un procès de cinq jours à huis clos au tribunal de Gap. Axel Maaziz a été reconnu coupable d’enlèvement et de tentative de meurtre d’une fillette de 7 ans, en 2014 à l’Argentière-la-Bessée dans les Hautes-Alpes.
A l’époque, il avait immobilisé la fillette à l’aide d’un pistolet à impulsions électriques puis l’avait embarquée à bord d’une voiture. La petite fille avait réussi à prendre la fuite et à prévenir les gendarmes, qui avaient relevé sur son cou des traces de strangulation.
