Lors du Sommet africain qui s’est tenu ce samedi à Brazzaville pour définir un plan de sortie de crise en Libye, le président de la Commission de l’Union africaine Moussa Faki Mahamat (photo) a déploré les « dissonances » des interventions extérieures dans les tentatives de règlement du conflit libyen.
« Je voudrais par la voie la plus audible exprimer la forte opposition de l’Afrique à cette contrariété et ces dissonances des interventions, approches et agendas extérieurs », a-t-il déclaré en ouverture de la Conférence, faisant allusion aux initiatives estivales du président Macron et à la récente tournée de son ministre des Affaires étrangères Jean-Yves Le Drian, pour rapprocher le Premier ministre libyen Fayez al-Sarraj et son rival le maréchal Khalifa Haftar.
Est peut-être également visé le récent coup de projecteur que l’hebdomadaire français Jeune Afrique vient d’offrir opportunément à Béchir Saleh, l’ex-directeur de cabinet et ex-grand argentier de Kadhafi, que les services secrets français avaient protégé lors de la chute du régime libyen.
Allant dans le même sens que Moussa Faki Mahamat, le président Sassou Nguesso a demandé à la communauté internationale de ne pas renouveler l’erreur de 2011. La France et la Grande Bretagne n’avaient alors tenu aucun compte du point de vue de l’Union Africaine et de ses capacités à résoudre la crise, et étaient intervenues avec le résultat catastrophique que l’on connaît.
