Demba Ba et Henri Saivet sont visés par une enquête fiscale de la justice britannique, révèle The Sun. Ils feraient partie d’un groupe de 42 joueurs et 8 agents coupables d’opérations frauduleuses lors des transferts de joueurs entre la France et l’Angleterre à partir de 2011.
Le département non ministériel du gouvernement du Royaume Uni, principalement responsable de la collecte des taxes et du paiement de certains services fournis par l’Etat, ainsi que les cotisations à la sécurité sociale britannique (Hmcr), soupçonne dans ce dossier des opérations surévaluées lors de transferts importants , au bénéfice d’agents , de proches de joueurs ou d’intermédiaires officieux et au préjudice de l’actionnaire du club. Au total, selon un extrait du procès verbal publié par le journal britannique, l’affaire concerne 43 joueurs dont les deux Sénégalais. Ils font aujourd’hui l’objet d’une enquête. La Hmcr, le service de lutte contre la fraude fiscale, soupçonne un détournement à hauteur de 5 millions de livres sterlings (environ 4 milliards FCFA).
Demba Ba avait déclaré avoir une clause de contrat lui permettant de quitter les Hammers sans indemnités de transfert pour Newcastle. « les droits d’image avaient été largement utilisés pour éviter de payer l’assurance nationale et l’impôt sur le salaire des joueurs. L’argent a été versé dans un compte à l’étranger », souligne le Pv. Mercredi dernier, les deux clubs ont vu débarquer dans leurs locaux les officiers du Hmrc. Ordinateurs, documents et téléphones portables ont été saisis.
Plusieurs personnes ont été arrêtées dont Lee Charley, Directeur général de Newcastle. Sur les cas les plus bizarres, le transfert de Henri Saivet de Bordeaux, qui a été signé par Newcastle pour 4, 5 millions de livres en janvier 2016. Ce transfert douteux implique l’agent du Sénégalais, Franck Peslerbe, le chef scout de Newcastle Graham Carr et le Directeur général du club,
Lee Chambley. Peslerbe a révélé que Carr a exigé a Saivet de changer d’agent s’il voulait venir à Newcastle. Ce que l’international sénégalais a accepté en signant avec un autre agent du nom de Rudy Raba pour 5 ans et demi. Pesterbe affirme que les Magpies ont alors augmenté les honoraires de l’agent de 5 à 8% dus alaire de 35 000 livres par semaine de Saivet. Cela signifiait que Raba détenait 800 000 livres soit 300 000 livres de plus que ce que Peslerbe aurait gagné.
Le Hcmr a publié un communiqué pour expliquer les perquisitions effectuées. « Le Hcmr a arrêté plusieurs personnes travaillant dans le monde du football pour une suspicion de grande fraude fiscale. 180 officiers du HMRC ont été déployés au Royaume Uni et en France, aujourd’hui. (…). Les autorités françaises assistent l’enquête et ont également effectué des arrestations.
