Comment avez-vous passé la nuit au sein de votre famille ? Nous n’avons pas fermé l’œil. Je ne suis pas parvenu à fermer l’œil de la nuit. Cela fait mal, mais on gère. Aucune défaite ne m’a fait aussi mal. J’ai battu plusieurs champions et j’ai fait 10 ans dans la lutte. Beaucoup d’eux m’ont aussi battu, mais je sais que cette défaite m’a fait trop mal et je ne suis pas prêt à l’oublier. Pouvez-vous revenir sur votre combat raté face à Sa Thiès ? Concrètement qu’est-ce qui n’a pas fonctionné ? Je ne saurai le dire. Vous savez, beaucoup de choses se sont passées, mais je ne peux pas étaler ça dans la presse. Certaines indiscrétions disent que vous n’avez pas pris au sérieux votre préparation pour ce combat… On vous reproche même de ne pas mettre les pieds à l’écurie depuis…? Vous savez, quand on est un leader, parfois on ne peut pas se contenter de se préparer avec beaucoup de gens. Je ne veux même pas entrer dans ces détails, mais je sais que je me suis entraîné avec de bons techniciens. Et pourtant, même votre entraîneur titulaire a formellement dit que vous aviez brillé par votre absence aux séances de contacts… Je n’ai rien à répondre de ça, franchement il n’y a pas lieu de polémiquer. Comment appréciez-vous les dé- faites accumulées par les jeunes champions de Lansar qui ont perdu beaucoup de leurs combats ? C’est juste la volonté divine. Je prie pour que la prochaine fois, ils retrouvent tous le sourire. J’encourage Feugeuleu tout comme Tidiane Faye. Et comme vous avez manqué votre retour, qu’est-ce que vous promettez à vos fans ? Je vais rebondir… Mais, juste pour leur dire que c’est un combat que je ne devais pas perdre. Je sais les avantages qui m’attendaient si je réussissais à battre Sa Thiès. Je me suis entraîné comme un fou et j’étais à 100% prêt pour ce combat. Quand je suis même arrivé au stade, les gens avaient vu comment j’étais à l’aise. Mais tout ce qui s’est passé ne peut pas se dire. Je demande juste à mes supporters d’être patients et de toujours prier pour moi pour qu’au prochain combat, je sorte vainqueur.
